Meeting of Ukrainian women leaders in Geneva: conference ‘Success and development of women's unity’



On 18 May 2024, an important event took place in Geneva - the Ukrainian Women's Conference ‘Success and Development of Women's Unity’. The event brought together Ukrainian women leaders living in Switzerland to discuss issues of peace, security, social justice, education, culture, gender equality, integration and adaptation in Swiss society.

The main goal of the conference is to unite Ukrainian women in Switzerland, create a platform for the development of women's community and partnership based on equality and cooperation

The participants of the conference had the opportunity to take part in panel discussions, workshops and aperitifs.

The conference was addressed by:

  • Olesia Tarasenko: Founder of the Ukrainian-Swiss Foundation VIDNOVA, UA-DO Schule, ProksJob Verein, owner of the project ‘Ukrainians in Switzerland’, UNITED WOMEN ambassador
  • Alexander Boss: Managing Director of RED Express
  • Bohdan Lytvyn: Partner of the Charitable Foundation ‘Future For Ukraine’
  • Halyna Pidkaminna: President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Women Entrepreneurs ‘Women's Alliance’
  • Mariana Koch-Zorova: Mrs Lichtenstein 2023, Mrs. West Europe Globe 2024, Head of Financial Risk Management at Barry Callebaut After a coffee break, masterclasses were held by:
  • Oksana Dolgova: Certified business trainer, psychologist, coach
  • Konstantin Bravo: Business coach with 20 years of experience
  • Svitlana Oreshchak: Vice President of Women Club CH VIDNOVA

The conference was a great opportunity to demonstrate leadership skills and contribute to change for the better. The event helped to unite Ukrainian women, increase their activity and patriotism.
