From 30 September to 2 October, United Women ambassadors held a series of working meetings at the European Parliament and the European Commission.

We presented United Women’s research and discussed the situation of Ukrainian women in Europe, their integration, human capital and their role in Ukraine’s future within the EU.

Our interlocutors included Sabine Verheyen, Vice-President of the European Parliament; representatives from DG ENEST; MEPs and their teams from various EU countries. Following the meetings, we agreed to continue the dialogue and explore possible forms of cooperation.

The United Women team also attended ‘The Festival of Politics and Ideas — 2026 State of Europe’ organised by Friends of Europe — a forum dedicated to Europe’s key challenges and future: security, EU enlargement, artificial intelligence, energy sustainability and competitiveness.

The forum provided an opportunity to make new connections with representatives from European institutions, the political sphere, think tanks and the media.

We are returning with new contacts, agreements and opportunities for partnerships — and we continue to ensure that the voices of Ukrainian women are heard in Europe. 🇺🇦🇪🇺
