On 14–15 July, the co-founders of United Women undertook a working visit to Brussels, where they held a series of meetings with Members of the European Parliament.

During the meetings, we presented the findings of a large-scale study on the lives of Ukrainian women who were forced to flee to European countries due to the war.

Discussions took place with MEPs from Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Estonia and Spain. The main focus was on future cooperation and potential joint initiatives that will help translate the study’s findings into practical solutions.

It is important to us that the voices of Ukrainian women are not only heard within our own community, but also at the level of European institutions. It is through such meetings that a dialogue is forged which can influence future programmes supporting, integrating and protecting the rights of Ukrainian women in EU countries.

We are grateful to all our partners for their openness to cooperation
